Ill Manors: Broadcast platform concluded

DVD Extra

  1. Plan B told us that London is always portrayed in a glamorous way and how we need to tell the audience that this is not the case and how we need to show them the real side of London. He also said that he wanted the audience the understand the youths because they are portrayed in a negative way when they really aren't and it's just a typical stereotype.
  2. From the production process, we learnt that the production company initially had no money to make the movie and how they had to ask many companies to sponsor them. Also, the characters in the film was from a music video that went by the name of Michelle. Also, a lot of the characters that starred in the movie were unprofessional because Plan B thought that the only people that would be able to act those roles would be the ones who had lived through it everyday and know how it felt to be in those positions.
  3. The target audience for this would be the people who go against the kids that are doing wrong. This shows that they are being prejudiced and this could be the reason why the riots had happened.

Broadcast and Online

  1. SBTV is a multi-faceted company that is run by a small team of young people. They normally run their content on YouTube which is therefore accessible to everyone around the world. This company is mainly based around giving the viewers entertainment, e.g. interviewing famous people and also about music. Since this is all about music and entertainment, the target audience would be aged between 13-23. This is aged at a younger audience due to the fact that younger audience are more focused into their music and like to have a lot of fun rather than the older people.
  2. This specific interview is targeted at a younger audience because it shows the presenter of SBTV acting like a kid. For example, before he started to interview Plan B, he would be dancing to songs that were from a TV show which is also based for kids. Ayounger audience would appeal to this sort of presentation because to them, it seems entertaining which is what younger people enjoy and this is how it catches their attention.
  3. Plan B is presented as 'chilled out' and is sitting by himself and is fully concentrated on the work he is doing. In the interview, he talks about how he doesn't want to 'fail' and if he does he would look like a 'clown' to everyone. This links to the younger audience as it shows that he cares and wants to complete his film.

Television

  1. The Jonathan Ross show is a British chat show which is presented by Jonathan Ross. This is where he would get a variety of famous people onto his show on a Saturday night and talk to them about their careers and sometimes their personal life. This is aimed at anyone who watches movies because the people that come onto his show could be anyone. A specific type of person would be a middle aged working class man because most of the time no one would be doing anything on a Saturday night.
  2. The target audience for this specific interview would be between the ages of 14-25. This is simply because of the fact that the fans of Plan B lie between this age and these are the people would will want to watch him and get to know more about their 'favourite musician' etc.
  3. Yet again in this text, eh was presented as a funny and 'upfront' character who didn't keep anything to himself, e.g. the hand gestures towards  Nick Clegg.

Radio

  1. The average listening figures of people who listen to the BBC Radio 1 is around 10 million per week. However, they have started to lose the number of listeners every week due to the fact that there are other different radio shows that are around and they could be more appealing to the audience, e.g. they may be entertaining which leads to a younger audience.
  2. The target audience of BBC Radio 1 is between 15-29 because it engages a younger audience with the different distinctive musics they play.
  3. In the interview, Plan B started to talk about the following on how he had promoted the film 'Ill Manors': The release date, the music itself and the different characters
  4. The main representing of Plan be which we found in this interview was that he is very hardworking.
